How to Configure What Information is Displayed
Rambler lets you control exactly what contextual information appears on screen so you see only what matters to you.

Rambler has the ability to display a lot of information about your device and the map it’s displaying, however you may not always want to see it all.
Using the in-app settings you can configure Rambler to show you just the information you need.
This guide explains how it works, and how to configure it.
At any time, you can toggle the information overlay on or off by pressing the ‘i’ button on the right of your device’s screen.

Device-relative Information
Information based on your device and its sensors.

Location (always included)
Displays your (device GPS) current latitude and longitude.

Rambler Date
Shows the current local date based on your device time plus any application-based offset. This can be different to the map-date as the map data & time are localized.

Rambler Time
Shows the current local time based on your device clock plus any application-based offset.

Bearing
Displays your current compass bearing – the direction your device is facing according to your device’s sensors.
Tip: Rotate your device through all axis or move in a figure-8 pattern to calibrate.

Alt/Az
Shows altitude and azimuth information derived from your device sensors. Especially useful in AR mode to identify celestial objects and constellations.
Map-relative Information
Map information refers to the location at the current center of the map.

Location (always included)
Displays the coordinates at the center of the map.

Map Date
Calculated relative to Rambler data/time, it shows the current date at the location that the map is centered on, plus any offset specified in the application.

Map Time
Calculated relative to Rambler local data/time, it shows the current time and timezone at the location that the map is centered on, plus any offset specified in the application.

Map Sunrise / Set / Phase
Calculated relative to Rambler local data/time this information shows the time of the next sunrise, sunset and the current phase of the sun at the current map center location.
